8MM and S/L warmly welcome the eternally blunted, Bongo Joe signed Brussels trio Meril Wubslin for a smoked out night of psych drone. -- Meril Wubslin are a Belgian-Swiss Lo-Fi / Folk / Sci-Fi / Psyche / Trance contemporary music group, formed in 2010 by Christian Garcia-Gaucher. Improvisation and repetition are essential elements of their performances, with tracks that last five minutes on the record extending up to twenty minutes live. Their debut album, "-1-," was released in 2010 on Saïko. In 2016, their second album, "Sinon," was released on Cheptel Records. The record marked a new chapter for the band in that all vocals were in French. The band began releasing with Bongo Joe records in 2021, in the form of LP "Alors quoi”. The reception to the records was excellent, with acclaim from international press. The band toured the record extensively, including a stop at the acclaimed Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht. The band recorded their fourth album ("Faire ça”, released on Bongo Joe), in London, alongside Kwake Bass, a central figure in the southeast London music scene and collaborator with Kae Tempest, Tirzah, Coby Sey, Mica Levi, etc. -- Doors: 19:00 Show: 20:45 Aftershow DJ tba.
